Jackson has joined the board of directors for the Austin-based Sage Studios. This non-profit supports artists in Texas with disabilities. They are raising money for their new studio/exhibit space in East Austin! Here is information about Sage from their Kickstarter page:
SAGE (Supporting Artistic Growth and Entrepreneurship) Studio is a non-profit art studio and gallery for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Austin, Texas. SAGE Studio was founded in 2016 by Katie Stahl, a practicing artist and art educator, and Lucy Gross, a social worker and special education teacher, to provide artists with disabilities the materials, space, and support to produce, exhibit, and sell their artwork.
SAGE Studio serves artists with disabilities through two programs: our Studio Program and our Exhibition Program. Through our Studio Program, artists create work in our studio space with Katie, Lucy, and trained volunteers serving as facilitators. The goal for participating artists is to explore new mediums, strengthen their artistic voice, and build a cohesive portfolio of work for exhibition.
We encourage you to join us in supporting the fantastic artists and great work of Sage Studios through their fundraising effort!
